Summer is just around the corner. This means flip-flops, shorts, barbeque, ice cream, swimming pools, and of course, Upward Bound Summer Academy! We have a summer full of activities for our students.
Remember that Summer Academy is about being open to new experiences, interacting with other Upward Bound students, and maximizing your academic experience!

This spring semester, Upward Bound embarked on a new adventure: a mentoring program in which each incoming student was paired with a mentor. Mentors were charged with communicating with their mentees at least twice a week and leading one session on Saturdays. Many of our mentors had the opportunity to come in on Tuesdays during tutoring and meet with their mentees face-to-face. Although the bulk of the communication happened through text messages or emails, students were still able to form meaningful relationships.
